Advocating for Our Immigrants

My involvement in advocating for our immigrant friends includes working with "The Accompaniment and Sanctuary Coalition of Colorado Springs", "The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition" and the "Colorado Rapid Response Network" (the last two being statewide organizations).  While the three organizations focused on separate and distinct specialties, the overall goals were to make Colorado a more welcoming, immigrant-friendly state.  These organizations accomplish this by educating faith communities, businesses and communities on the issues of immigration, as well as, slowing down and controlling the public narrative to aid in keeping our immigrant families together and striving to ensure due process is accomplished.  Some of these photos refer to my volunteer work in Laredo, Texas as well as a member of Witness Delegation about actions by Governor Abott against immigrants.  Finally, I enjoyed making crafts for our immigrants.
