Throughout the years I have been intimately involved with the following organizations and "families".  I am passionate with what they they have done to contribute to an "inclusive to all" mentality and their attempts to make all individuals feel they are worthy, welcome and flourish.

Take a look for yourself to see if any of them are worthy of your time and money.

The Accompaniment and Sanctuary Coalition of Colorado Springs seeks to make the Pikes Peak region a safer place for immigrants by standing with and protecting immigrants facing obstacles in everyday life, including housing, finances, healthcare, well-being and apprehension/deportation. We do this by supporting and connecting them to the valuable resources in their communities, educating faith communities on issues of immigration and activating them in the coalition’s work, advocating for policy change, and providing sanctuary in a host church to vetted immigrants facing imminent deportation.

The Chinook Center is a progressive, mission driven community space that empowers and connects people and grassroots organizations working for social, economic and environmental justice in the Pikes Peak region.  It serves as a hub for a diverse array of grassroots work that can flourish in a community of support and solidarity.

The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) is a statewide, membership-based coalition of immigrant, faith, labor, youth, community, business and ally organizations founded in 2002 to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees by making Colorado a more welcoming, immigrant-friendly state.

The Colorado Rapid Response Network is committed to responding to raids, deportation, and any Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity happening across the state in our communities. This statewide network is intended to immediately respond to reported situations by confirming the existence of a raid or the presence of ICE, documenting the case – including using legal observers, and slowing down and controlling the public narrative of these events as we fight to keep our families together. The strategy of CORRN is designed to build relationships across race and language, encourage local communities to work in teams, and document how ICE is acting in Colorado so as an Immigrant Rights movement, we can organize locally and accurately report information to our Coloradan immigrant community.

“The purpose of HOPE COS is to provide compassionate, values-driven support through street outreach, peer coaching, sober living, and warming shelters.  Rooted in shared understanding, our programs empower those we serve to rebuild their lives, fostering healing, growth, and a renewed sense of hope and purpose.  We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where every person is treated with dignity and given the resources needed to thrive.”

LWVPPR members actively promote voter and civic education for the public and themselves. You can find League volunteers registering voters in high schools and naturalization ceremonies, discussing campaign finance in public forums and presenting the pros and cons of the issues on your election ballot.

Vista Grande United Church of Christ thinks themselves as a warm and caring congregation where there are no strangers, just friends, some of whom may be meeting each other for the first time.

“We covenant together to imagine and live into a world where God’s Kindom vision of human and planetary flourishing comes to pass through the work of love, justice, peace, equality, and extravagant hospitality. We envision nothing less than a world restored to wholeness, wellness, joy, and gratitude for all of God’s Creation.”
